Best Case Scenario for these Players

honestly at this point I think the best case scenario is LSU doesn’t put them on the roster and they sue the SEC for damages, ie their NIL and Revenue share.
i don’t think LSU is risking it for these players. but they have. great case that the SEC colluded to prevent them from making this money.

we cant do that now... we've been enjoined on the injunction. if we leave them off it opens us up to liability as well

Being enjoined in the lawsuit prevents exactly what you just said....c'mon man

For the record... I think what the NCAA did with the timing of the 5/5 rule was absolutely disgraceful. These players have a legitimate beef. Now, we are learning that the NCAA screwed up the language of the ruling, and courts needed to make a decision. Fix the rule and stop attacking programs for following the law.
I also think its disgusting that the Pavia and Chambliss situations were all happening in the background of this and the cowards in sports media aren't pointing out the hypocrisy. Add to that the revolting abuse of transfers and covid years that went on for far too long that this 5/5 rule was supposed to fix. And lets not pretend that this is unprecedented. Many players, including our own Josh Booty, have played pro sports then come back to college, because they still had eligibility. Undrafted kids invited to try out in an NFL training camp, who never make the team, are somehow MORE of a professional athlete than someone like Chris Wienke who played 6 years of professional baseball?

We can. They could try and hold us in contempt but I think we could get out of that. No law requires us to roster them. they can only sue for the oppertunitt
the injunction more gives us cover if we do roster them we can say we were only following a lawful court order
