Isn't it funny how every single year Alabama seems to field their best team Bama has ever had?

How is that possible? It isn't. This Bama team isn't nearly as good as their 2011 or 2012 teams. Their defense is also nowhere near what their D was last year. I honestly have a difficult time comprehending how this false narrative continues to propagate.

I honestly hope that the hype continues to build for them over these two weeks. I think they will be tough for sure, but I can see us winning big.

It's just like believing we were a top 5 team.

Football players get better every year. It makes sense. LSU's 1995 team could have beat our 1958 team.

Defense has given up too many points and Hurts hasn't been sharp enough in the passing game to be their best team ever, but they're still damn good.

Their D-line is as nasty as they've ever been, but they're a little soft in the secondary. They also force more turnover than any team I've watched lately.

Because analysts would be pretty bored just saying the same shite about Bama beating everyone every year

so they make these stories about them being the greatest of all time so they have something to talk about

And some of the Bears teams were even better than these teams.....

BUT The 2011 team is one of the best ever............

Since the origin of the series in 1895, LSU has only beaten Bama 4 times by more than 2 scores with the latest being 27-3 in 2003.

Under Saban, Bama has never lost by more than 14 points.

Think we have a chance to win, but the chances to "win big" are extremely remote.

Past history is not an indicator of future results.

I personally witnessed us shut them out in their stadium 27-0.

I agree they are great, and I think it must be proven on the field. The reality is that we are the most talented team on their schedule.

I think we see a drastically different game than the last 5.

The way to beat Saban is over the top. His defenses put a ton of pressure inside of 10 yards, so he relies on great corner and safety play.... mix it up with tight ends, etc. and spreading them out for the run, then take some shots and let our big receivers go up and get it.... bottom line? Tigers OLine has to play like an NFL OLine on the 5th... JMO

Who's offense is better? A&M, OM, or LSU?

Prior to O we wouldn't even consider us in that conversation. Beating Bama isn't about beating them over the top. It's about executing the play to the "weakest" spot the D gives you. It requires a smart qb who can recognize what is and isn't there. Furthermore, it requires patience and playmakers making plays.

Them losing and All American safety will be a big deal for them.

Is everyone here really that scared of them?

Dude.... there good. Real good in all phases but especially at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. That's where execution starts. Tigers are talented, but if DE has to run for his life, we will be in trouble...

I am not scared at all... LSU has a great shot.. BUT... Saban has done very well during the bye week before LSU AND Bama just doesn't make game changing mistakes and are fundamentally sound.....

Discipline, beat your man on every -play, etc. poise, but with emotion = smart....

Gonna need 60 minutes of that on EVERY play...

many dont know what they're talking about. their dline is NOT better then last year...neither are their running backs, oline and qb. their linebackers might be his best...and their dbs are as good as advertised but their best is done for the year. bama lives off intimidation and hard hits and sound tackling. we need to strap up and punch them in the frickikng mouth. we'll see what the neighborhood bully does then

You guys kill me. Their offense is unproven, as they haven't played even a decent defense yet. Their defense has given up 43 and 30 points already. You guys are some pussies. To me they haven't beaten shite yet. Don't give me a&m. Tenn put up 700 yards of offense on them and only lost because they turned it over 7 times. A&m isn't all that at all....will finish with 4 losses.
