You can not be a fat arse and be good wr,rb, db, lb.
You can not be a fat arse and be a good basketball player.

You can be a fatass and be in talks of winning the mvp in baseball. There are no lebron james, westbrooks or adrian peterson's in baseball.

Youre athletes dont trump other sports athletes when you can be a fat frick and be one of the most productive players in the sport.

The skill set it takes to play such a difficult game is off the charts.

You can literally be the least athletic person on the field amd yet have great hand eye coordination and be one of the most productive players in baseball. Stop kidding yourself.

No one disputed that. But you dont have to be athletic to be a great hitter.

The 2nd sentence is correct, but the 1st sentence might be the dumbest shite I've ever heard.

IMO, toss up between PP7 and Chad Jones.

Peterson seems like he can do anything on a football field. Dude was a pretty impressive RB in high school, arguably the best DB in the NFL now and in LSU history, and a great kick/punt returner. And he was a self taught scratch golfer within a year of starting to play...quite an impressive feat.

Chad Jones had a prominent role on national championship teams in 2 sports. Knew he wasn't going to be able to go pro in baseball, but left a big "what if" for his NFL career...definitely had All Pro potential at safety if it wasn't for his accident

Exactly but wait 30 minutes and youll have 3 replies talking about how hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do and that an athlete in mlb trumps athletes in the nba and nfl ( the 2 leagues known for athleticism).

No one ever disputed hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do. Hell the greates hitters of all time failed 6-7 times out of 10,but that in now way means athletic baseball player trumps the athletes in the nfl and nba.

Didn't Todd Kinchen play basketball briefly for LSU?

Wasn't this the chicken pox outbreak and Daddy Dale was scrambling to fill a roster for part of the season? Good times.

Y'all may not agree or remember him, but I think CECIL "THE DIESEL" COLLINS was the best athlete we have ever put on a football field. Kid was amazing. Run over you, run through you and run away from you. Unstoppable. Too bad he had personal issues.

My post really wasn't directed at the athleticism required to play the various sports. There are incredible athletes in both the NBA and NFL.

I do believe, as a single skill set, hitting a 98 mph fastball with movement is the most difficult thing to do in all of sports. Especially when you know the pitcher you're facing has two speeds of changeup, a slider and a curve he can toss in as well.

I'm not arguing over athleticism just this single skill that only a very few possess.

Michael Jordan, couldn't hit a baseball.

He hit right a .202, 3 HR, and 51 RBI. That's not too bad at all considering Jordan literally just picked up a bat for the first since high school and was athletic and good enough to play Double A. What's the standard batting average? .300?

To play devil's advocate, how many on roster do you think could lace up and play in the NBA or even D-League?

Not even close. .300 is well above average.

Most pitchers would love to have a .202 average. So would Rob Deer.

Cecil has gotten better in the last few years.
He was not anywhere near the back or the athlete that LF is today...

He is without question the most overhyped player in lsu history. You have some lsu fans putting him in lsu's best rb category.

hand-eye coordination is probably the most important trait in being a good athlete. And baseball requires the most of any sport.

You put a baseball player in an amateur game of football or basketball with other pro athletes that do not play that sport and they are have the easiest transition because the traits needed for baseball transcend all sports.

Will they be playing RB or WR or dunking on people? prob not. But these are your athletes with the highest acumen to throw a ball, catch a ball, dribble a ball, or shoot a ball.
