This is nothing new. That sorry POS never wanted to be in college anywhere. He was as TOTAL WASTE OF TIME and was a horrible teammate. He wasted LSU's time. Screw that mofo.

Ben could have went straight from Australia to the NBA. When he and his family decided to come to the US and have him attend Monteverde, he had to go to college for a year.

The Showtime special was enough for me because he wA complaining about doing media shoots, BUT HAD a camera crew documenting his entire experience. He got what he wanted and he is in the NBA. He just comes off as immature by continuing to harp on this.

Why isn't Shaquille O'Neal as bitter about his college experience as Ben?

Because he was here 3 years, won some games, and got actual coaching.

He would have been drafted the same out of high school.

Underclassmen weren't leaving then and they weren't really drafting them. 1 So. got drafted in the '89 draft and Shawn Kemp was the only freshman, and he only left because he couldn't get qualified.

He could have gone back to Australia and played pro to avoid the draft.

The NBA is better suited to his game but wait until they start designing game plans to stop him. We'll see how tough and physical he is.

Better coach

Better teams

Better experience

Simmons didn’t learn anything here. People shite all over Johnny Jones for being an idiot who didn’t coach and also Simmons for saying he didn’t learn anything from the idiot who didn’t coach.

Exactly. Ben Simmons basicly bitched and pissed and moaned during the entire interview. SIMMONS personifies what is wrong in college athletics.

LSU didn’t benefit from him either. He would have done himself a favor if he could pass a couple of courses.

So the whole Ben Simmons situation was pretty crappy all the way around from LSU, to Johnny, to Ben, etc.

However, there is little doubt that LSU whored Ben out...I mean hell did you see the billboards that were on the roads when he was still playing in high school???

Ben Simmons literally took advantage of a coach who put his reputation and eventual job on the line so king Simmons could showcase himself to the NBA. Then with cesspool graciousness complains he didn't learn anything from being at LSU. What a sorry POS.

Didn't care for him when he went through the motions at LSU. Care less for him now. Good-bye and good riddance!!!!

....you speak like this was some gracious thing that Johnny did with no upside.

Again....did you see the billboards LSU had up while Ben was still in high school?

Johnny got Johnny fired....period

Simmon’s attitude is absolute crap, but he’s not necessarily wrong. My guess is that he would have felt this way about any school he would have gone to.

The problem is that one-and-done is a sham from the prospective of the “student-athletes”. The NBA is forcing this into existence and the NCAA is trying its best to make everyone pretend like this arrangement is legit.

Being used was a 2 way street.

LSU definitely did their part of using and so did Ben.

Johnny was not a good coach regardless and LSU needed to move on in more ways than one.

Glad we don't have a "homer included" coach pick.

Better to have the attitude of nothing to see here and move on.
I am sure that Coach Wade does not care.

Go current Tiger's

Agree.

No reason to act like a prick after the fact.
