It took him longer than I thought but he has impacted the 76rs in the same manner he impacted LSU...

Youve gotta be kidding.

WW saved the program, after we bottomed out and literally went 10-21 and 2-16 in the sec.

WW had to go through a rebuilding year when we were mediocre, and then in year 2 with WW we went off, made the sweet sixteen etc.

So gtf. Dont you dare give Simmons completely undeserved credit for this turnaround.

Ben Simmons was a great basketball player but he had no impact of the LSU basketball program.

Meh. Heat are really good and Philly sucking on the road is much more of a team problem than a Simmons problem.

I’m not quite sure I understand your point. I think people are jumping on you with misinterpretations of what you meant.

Simmons said in an interview that LSU was a waste of his time. LSU didn't even make NCAA Tournament with him on the team. In fact, the team quit and didn't even go to the NIT. So, why is he relevant to us? Why is he even being discussed?

Simmons never said anything bad about LSU but people still twist his quote up to make it as if he did. It's weird.

No he didn't. He said college was a waste of time, which it was for him.

I do think it's funny that he got shite nationally for going #1 even though he didn't make a tourney and now Fultz, James Wiseman, Cole Anthony, Anthony Edwards will all do the same.

To expose negatigers like you.
One of the most accomplished athletes in the history of LSU is being criticized for no reason.
One freshman player can't make us a winner.
We had Shaquille, Roberts, CJ and several other great players and didn't make a final four. Do you criticize those guys also?

Sorry, facts show otherwise. Here is story.

LINK /

Here is one quote...

Carter: If I was as talented as you, would I see a point in that six or seven months of being there?

Simmons: I think no. I think I would have learned a lot more being around professional athletes. Looking at it now, I don't really know what I learned, financially, or just being a person at LSU. I think I've learned a lot more this whole year in Philly, just being a pro, than I did at LSU.

Quote is pretty damned clear. Damn. What part of " Looking at it now, I don't really know what I learned, financially, or just being a person at LSU." don't you understand?

Use the other part of that quote...
quote:

I think I've learned a lot more this whole year in Philly, just being a pro, than I did at LSU.

He's saying that he didn't learn anything at LSU that he wouldn't have otherwise learned going straight to the NBA. His head coach was Johnny Jones. What do you think he could learn from him that he wouldn't have learned in the NBA as a rookie? He's also just answering questions that he was asked. Some on here act like he just came out and said he hated his time at LSU unsolicited.

Best tiger athlete in a long long long time. I'm proud to claim him as a tiger. Great representative for us.

2 fouls and JJ took him out.
A one and done was limited by our head coach, playing time. Most fuked up coaching I've ever seen.
