How much money and/or how many free global big game hunts would it take for BenMC to sign on as pitching coach for one year?

I know it’s likelier that Woodward apologizes to Will Wade, but just hypothetically, would it tarnish his reputation if results were negative? Would there be any way the benefits outweigh the positives?

The Rant doesn’t want any ex LSU athletes coaching at LSU in any sport. That kind of nonsense is for blue bloods not for us.

Honey Badger would absolutely crush it as the LSU DBU coach.

…and there’s always a group who think just because it’s a name they know, so-and-so McFormer player (usually with no coaching experience) will turn us into an automatic National champion. Kind of a familiarity bias.

I think he’s a great communicator, and that is absolutely everything in coaching. He is an OG that commands respect long before walking in an lsu sports audience.

Personally I think there’s less than zero probability but it’d be exciting butttttt could also be terrible

Why on earth would he want to take a paycut for his cushy ESPN and Orioles commentating gigs to be a college assistant coach?

Cal Ripken called pitches for Ben from shortstop per Cal so maybe hire Cal.

What for?

Why not Kyle Peterson for one year? Former pitcher in the majors and calls a few LSU games each year. Great communicator.

You realize that Ben McDonald is a regular announcer for the Baltimore Orioles right?

maybe. maybe not.

he’d likely be a phenomenal recruiter though.

but a lot of what makes Badger great is pure instincts and not necessarily something that can be taught.

To take a note out of the other jackass notebook

You do you know he is a full-time insurance agent in Nebraska and calls games for the SEC network?
