I'm curious if part of this piece was written by that WaPo guy and thus guy was just ready to change the story once feathers were ruffled. These journalists are activists. They don't care if they have to castrate their article. They just want their first thought out which did.

Do you, and others, realize the attention is EXACTLY what the writer wants? He’s loving that he’s pissed you off so much that you are encouraging others to give him exactly what he is seeking…attention? So while you and others might think you are winning by flooding his inbox, you aren’t. He is. He’s gleefully showing his editors how much attention the article is getting…which will lead to more.
