Anybody here still wanna argue with me that Bregman is a better SS than Trea Turner?

I heard rumors that Bregman's number was going to be retired and he'd be inducted into the LSU baseball HOF in this weekends series vs Miss. St........get the cowbells ready!

TW had probably the most natural, god-given talent of any player from LSU.
Bregs, while not as naturally talented, just works to improve his game all the time, even during warmups and between innings.
TW didn't do that probably because he didn't think he had to do so.
Well considering his career I guess he thought correctly

LSU fans just fail to realize the type of player they are watching. He's struggling but part of it is he's trying to do too much and with the dead weight around him he gets no pitches.
He could be hitting 500 right now and that still might not be good enough on this lineup.

I could care less about that, but look at little 5' 9" 165 lb Turgeon for UF one off the lead in team HRs, one behind 6' 2" 215 lb, Gushue. Little guys can generate bat speed. I'll give Gushue a little clappy for putting up 10 doubles on the season from the catcher position.

Bregman had chance to win the tied game with UGA, and to give LSU a lead in the 8th inning in game 1 vs. UF. I can guarantee you if Bregman was hitting .500, we'd have beaten UGA, Tulane, and game 1 vs UF. That was three games in a row that we didn't win. I'm certain Bregman isn't shifting blame to his teammates, and I don't think you should either.
To be clear, I'm not blaming Bregman for all of LSU's offensive woes. Bregman is only 1 of 9 hitters in the lineup, and he needs to do more than he currently is for this team to be successful. He knows that, and will work his hardest to get things going in the right direction.

Speaking of little guys...look at Dustin Pedoria & Jose Altuve... Oh and there is many more small guys to name!

*sigh*
This again? I never said small guys couldn't compete or be power hitters. I just said, as a general princple, that small guys are the exception when it comes to power hitters. Seems like a reasonable statement to me- especially when you go look at the Ht/WT of the MLB home run leaders from last year.

We will see , I know he works hard and has a high motor . He is a class act and I surely hope he is the GOAT . We will see though .

As bad as his current slump is, he's batting .291 with an OBP of .390. He is talented enough and still has plenty of time to hit for a great average. He has struck out only 8 times in 103 at bats so he is putting the ball in play. It's just going to the wrong place at the wrong time. I think he just needs to have a better plan at the plate for where he wants to go with the pitch on each at bat. BTW, we have faced some great pitching so far. Bregman will be fine. I think Fraley has earned more PT.

Agreed on Fraley , it's a no brainier .

He's pressing. Not an easy fix. Needs a slump buster.

Change it from Bregman to Fraley then you have a legitimate argument.

He did have one great year. I guess that means he is the GOAT
