A fair comment...that last at bat really was horrendous by any standard.

that's the best time to complain hoss. most good coaches are the most critical after a win rather than a loss. you figure out why

Problem is, who do you put in? Adams and Woley look the part but haven't produced. Romero did it last year but not this year.

I'd almost lean towards Reid at this point. Dude has been clutch.

I don't think he does. Romero and Woley have had their opportunities. He's had some clutch hits for us when we needed them in the last 2-3 series.

Um Bryce Jordan was 1st team all sec last year, a cape cod all star last summer, and hit .333 in SEC play. He is not the same player as Beau regardless if they look alike

I say give Reid a chance. He is a patient hitter and does not swing awkwardly at everything across the plate (I'm looking at you Beau). If it doesn't work out, go back to Beau because then we know he's the best we have.

Whether you like it or not and no matter how bad he looks sometimes, he's still one of the few hitters who doesn't completely fall apart when the pressure is on.

They've given Reid chances. He's looked terrible.

I have no issues with the line up as it is current constructed.

Now I just hope that we blow some teams out of the water early enough to get guys like Breaux, Woley, and Slaughter post season ABs.

I'm sure Slaughter will. Less certain about the other two.

The DH is Beau.
Or the DH might be Romero.
That's it.
That's what we got.

I'm not talking about sitting him the rest of the season but for a game.
Give Reid/Wiley/Romero/Bryce (if able) a look for a game. They may look bad and go 0/4 so then you go back to Beau.
We will need hitters beyond the starters this season at some point anyway.

He appears to be upper-cutting too, trying to hit it out of the park on every swing

and he takes fast balls right down the middle

he probably swings at more balls and watches more called strikes than any player i've seen at LSU

This isn't exactly the time of year to give people "looks". Beau was 2-4 in game 3 vs State with 2 RBI and 2 runs. He was 0-3 last night. I get it. He's up and down. But like I've said before, you take the good with the bad with him. His SOs are atrocious.
