I’m leaning towards yes but if Bear doesn’t figure it out we might as well lose tomorrow as well because we aren’t winning shite without him producing

So you want to bench the leading HR hitter on the team in a win or go home game?

If JAY leaves him batting second then when Curiel gets on base ahead of him with less than two outs - he should sacrifice

No you don’t take him out of the lineup but you bat him 5th or 6th until he wakes up.

That said, I fully expect him to be batting 2nd or 3rd again tonight

He had, what 1 hit in the SEC tourney and has 1 hit (because the UALR lost the pop fly in the lights) in the regional

He's literally batting under .100 in his last like 5 games combined. He's not even walking. He's striking out or pop flying out every at bat.

I mean he plays first base. If we had an awesome backup to play first who also bats better than Jones sure. Else move him to 8th or 9th.

This is always fun. The English language is not nearly as hard as this board tries to make it.

No.

Let him work through it. He's done it before.

YES he needs to sit. However, we are in a MUST WIN game and he has been 1 of the reasons we are where we are. You go with what brought you. It's not complicated. Jones is also an all-star type defensive 1st baseman as well. All these athletes have a shrink on staff. I'm sure he's already had his daily session. Maybe Johnson will have him bunt. That might be the answer! That and the slump buster tried-and-true method. I'm all for a BEAR welcome-to-the regionals party tonight. Let it happen.

He shouldn’t sit but he definitely should be moved to no higher than 6-7. He is a liability at this point and it’s tough watching him battle right now.

That said, JJ will never do it

Not necessarily...he's a big dude. Take the pitch, right in his a$$. Million dollar wound.

He needs to sit on a fastball...further down in the lineup.
