They have done it before: RGIII, Murray, Mayfield, Mariota, Bradford were all way behind at this point and, as voters got bored with the "leader" they decide in December to vote for someone else.

Maybe because these guys were actually worthy of being in the discussion? How the hell do you throw Mariota in there anyway? He was easily the best player in College football that year. And most of those other races had a "winner" decided until they laid an egg (Leonard Fournette, anyone?). Then it became wide open.

That hasn't happened this year. There is no good argument for any of the other "contenders". Buckeye fans can make the argument that fields would have similar stat lines to Burrow had he played in the 2nd half of games, but all it is is speculation. Fields might make a good Heisman winner any other year.

But not this year.

Oh yeah right, cos this could never happen. It only already happened 5 times in the past 10 years. Don't hate the truth. Again, JOE SHOULD WIN IT. But be cautious and don't be shocked if they screw him. Wouldn't be the first time.

Not true. Amari Cooper and Melvin Gordon were favorites over him heading into Dec. Sorry.

All those other players you mentioned started their Heisman campaign runs over the last 3-4 weeks of the season, not frickin championship weekend. Again, GTFO with this shite.

This is the time of year the voters start to look for another option.

They have been doing that the last 4 games and failed.

There is one game left on the schedule. Heisman= Joe Burreaux

So Burrow SHOULD win the Heisman, but he might not. Way to cover yourself all the way around right there.

At least you learned from your five Tua won't play against LSU threads not to make absolute statements. How many days in a row are you going to make this thread?

No they weren't, but whatever. Amari Cooper didn't even have odds to win the Heisman in late November, when Mariota was the favorite.

No... they weren’t.

You just listed every Heisman winner you could think of and made up a fact about them. Go play in traffic man. Bezos, Gates, Trump, Buffet, and Musk made their money playing in traffic

By the way, most voters do not vote this week, they vote after the championship games next week. Just saying

I think votes are due next Monday 12/9. But most voters will vote this week because the race is over. Why wait? This is not close so who are they waiting to see? He will win in a landslide.

Sorry, you are wrong. Go back and look at ESPN's Heisman watch on each of those for each week and you will see how it happened.

How many times a day do you think about me? Do you wake up in a cold sweat afraid?? Do you check under the bed before you go to sleep?
