Which is to say, not as close as you were insinuating.

No one in the SEC,

Fantasy.

My man, refresh my memory. Whose post is this?

quote:

9 and 3 while not what everyone wants and certainly underachieving for the team but when weighed against the internal struggles the team had was actually a pretty decent result.

I expect this team to compete for the SEC championship. I think the talent is there.

Ummm. No. There will always be a Troy or aTm game. 9 regular season wins is his ceiling.

you seem mad, help me understand why.

These are LSU's offensive rankings:

76th in total offense at 389 yards per game
45th in first downs at 263
82nd in passing offense at 214 yards per game
76th in total offense at 389 yards per game

We are on year 2.5 of O, explain how you think this gets better?

Do you see him adapting and making this better?

How do I hate O, Ben? Be objective, not overly sensitive. He's a grown man making millions of dollars per year. He doesn't need you to white knight for him when we're discussing his professional performance

You are known as an O hater on this board. That's undeniable. I have no problem discussing and even criticizing his performance on a professional level. Unfortunately the O hate is prevalent here. As a result there can never be an objective discussion on this board. You refuse to see any positives concerning O and bring up ole miss as if it's relevant anymore. Everyone else has moved on you should too.

I'm going to continue to defend the man although it galls me to do so as long as I think he needs defending.

When and if he gets replaced I won't attack that guy without reason either.

No...I meant close but I can see this topic is too controversial so I will leave it at that....

I'm asking you why, objectively, I should be known as a "hater". Focus.

This is not objective. That I have "refused to see any positives" is an outright lie. That's peej drunken ranting crap. Be better than that.

had LSU won saturday, UGA lost (very likely), OU lost (somewhat unlikely), and tOSU lost (very unlikely), he would be leading LSU to the playoffs.

No I see Coach O as a coach who is satisfied winning 9-10 games a season.

A championship coach is one who demands perfection. I just don’t see the demand with O and it’s shown with all of the excuses about talent, his quotes about our team improving after losses to lesser opponents (see Troy), and applauding of our offensive coordinator who has orchestrated an offense that is ranked 76 in total offense. I see a man who is okay with being mediocre if it means keeping his job.

I dont see how you can make this statement.

So the question you asked can only be answered one way?

In what way? You always talk about wanting to have a rational discussion. Here's your opportunity.

What adapting happened on offense? I guess we should just play for 7OT every game to get our stats up really high.

I've been discussing it in a rational manner. You're the one bringing up his ole miss record. Again take your own advice.

Literally nothing in his track record as a head coach gives any indication that he is either capable or willing of adapting or changing how he does things.

Let's try again.

quote:

Name some of this talent from along the offensive line

How about running back

Wide receiver?

Where is this all world talent?

Sure the defense is loaded in the secondary but how about the defensive line?

Where is all of this talent?

The truth is LSU is a middle of the pack in the sec program right now. Coach O has them trending in the right direction but this past year LSU overachieved.

I expect this team to compete for the SEC championship. I think the talent is there.

You would think there is no way the same person could make these two completely opposite posts...

No, casting aspersions of being a "hater" is not discussing O's performance in a rational manner.

It's part of his resume, whether you like it or not.
