Pure comedy gold.

I think that was just a bunch of Catholic High fans wishing. Nothing wrong with it, but those two aren't even close.

I thought he would be the best in college, I never dreamed he may be the best ever....yep, best EVER. Right now I think he is better than Herschel. He is right there with Bo.

Guice is going to be special too, no, I do not think he will be on a LF level but he can be every bit as good as Chubb is in Georgia.

This is exactly my thinking as well.

Im not going to call anyone an idiot for that. My main point is, he may be better than Jeremy Hill by the end of the year, but im not going to judge it off of these 3 games.

He's already better by a long shot. In case you didn't realize, Hill averaged 5.3 ypc as a "redshirt" freshman and he had a passing game that completed 58% and threw for over 2600 yards, averaging 205 yards per game in conference play. Fournette came in with an awful OL to start the year, where no RBs could gain traction, then exploded the second half of the year averaging 5.5 ypc with a passing game that completed 50% of its passes averaging 140 passing yards in conference play.

Fournette still doesn't have a passing game, and is making Hill's 3 best games in 2013 (where his QB averaged 64.6% and 254 passing yards per game in conference play), look like typical fare. He already has 2 games better than Hill ever had against any opponent, and he's doing it with a nonexistent passing game!!!

Fournette is faster and more powerful than Hill. He has quicker or just as quick feet as Hill does as well.

Hill was great, best since Faulk. Fournette is legendary.

he is exceeding my unfairly high expectations

I have been hyped about him for so long. I remember looking at all the stats and hearing hype out of NOLA then this high light tape came out LINK and the hype got real

Not this soon, no. The guys is a game changer, and that is putting it mildly. He is a threat to take it to the house on every play....and I really don't think you can say that about Chubb at GA.

I don't see how anyone would not have known. Do you follow recruiting at all? You know when he was offered, right? Did you watch his highlights for the 4 years before LSU? This exact thing has been predicted by lots of people.

How do you manage to be wrong so often? I don't think I could be if I tried, and I'm a genius.

this tell me all I need to know...even if you are kidding.
He's coming into the 4th game of his sophomore year. No one saw this coming to this extent....not even Miles in all likelihood.
But of course you did....makes perfect sense.

I thought we'd see these types of highlight reel plays next season when he is a JR. The fact that he's doing this well right now is eye-opening

Ever since he struck a Heisman pose, I knew he would become something special in his last two years.

You really are a unique combination of stupid and a-hole. Your parents should be proud.

From 6/25/15

It's official. Leonard Fournette is not human. He was made in a lab.(Posted on 6/25/15 at 11:51 am)

Story on 247 today. The team had to run 20 100's in workouts. Basically it's 20 100 yard timed sprints. They said while everyone else was throwing up, cramping, and tapping out, LF actually ran a faster time on the 20th rep than his first rep. He finished the drill by walking off the field past his vomitting teammates all while barely sweating. Leonard Fournette is a cyborg.

Just one of the comments,

quote:

In 50 years our grandchildren will talk about Fournette like the Greeks spoke about their Gods. They will tell tales and their children will gather around and listen.

Herschel compare

There's more if you are willing to look. I did not even search the recruiting board.

I think the Russel Shephard experience had me scarred, which is why I decided to set expectations low...but even if I had high expectations, I didn't/couldnt believe he was a once in a generation athlete without actually seeing it on tv.

Yes, I did. I thought he would be this good for years.

I started posting about him on the Recruiting Board when he was a freshman at St. Aug. I was not alone, but there weren't many of us.

So, yeah, I started thinking years ago that he would be this good.

Thought he'd finally be that #1 back that we've never really had. Someone who stood out from the running-back-by-committee that we've not had a lot of. Never thought he'd be as good as he is looking.

And on a character level, he seemed like he had his head on his shoulders, but after doing the Heisman pose, I thought there was a hint that he might be a cocky type that would get in trouble with his antics. Not something I thought a lot about, just seeing a freshman do that showed me a glimmer of something that didn't sit well with me. Turns out I was completely wrong and he appears to be a pretty awesome teammate and has pretty awesome character.
