No doubt. Stanford and OSU, if they win out, are going to be the darlings of the voters.
+1. Keeping Bama out of the title game is music to my ears.

Why all the love for the Big-12-2?
Because they are 27-3 in out of conference games, have some good wins OOC, and no bad losses.

3) LSU, Bama, and Arky will be 1,2, and 3 in the BCS this week with Ok State likely coming in at #4. If Arky beats LSU, that won't change - but the order could. If LSU does lose, we need Arky to finish third of 3 so they get eliminated from the tie breaker and we would go the the SECCG (and then NC) by virtue of our win over Bama.
This has no chance of happening.
This has to beat Arky.
#1 does not lose to #3 and stay ahead of #3. No way. Never.
Not should it.

Absolutely. We all know that Bama is better than those teams, but they had their shot IMO. I do not want to play them again. I just don't think "they" are going to let it happen.

What is #1 beat #2 and #2 beat #3 and #3 beat #1?
You could be right but please back up your statement with math, logic, and facts.

Okie State looking weak @ #6. Stanford only close threat but they likely won't even win the Pac-12.

Okie St is going to be sitting at #4 or #5 in the weekly BCS rankings, though. Looks like the pundits were wrong.. Okie St is back in the mix if VT and Arkansas loses a game

Please knock this off ... Every team this is said about gets beat ... In recent times. Miami vs tOSU, Okie vs K-state, USC vs Texas ...
Seriously LSU is capable of losing. Hopefully won't but knock off the greatest ever stuff .... Even when you use the "if" word

If OSU is sitting at #5? Is rematch a definite. Jumping people is likely. But jumping 2 teams? Granted I know nothing.

Scenario you are speaking about:
OSU @ #5, then LSU beats Arkansas. Virginia (or Clemson) beats Virginia Tech.
OSU moves to #3 by default. Then, it comes down Oklahoma St vs Oklahoma. If they win, it's going to be extremely close and it will come down to what percentage of votes each team gets. If they lose, a rematch is a done deal.
Another thing to watch out for is the SECs 4 games vs the ACC this weekend. They have the ability to really mess shite up.

My bet is OSU will be #4 today but the BCS rankings are just a snapshot. Forget about the current ranking or who they have to pass.
Just ask yourself, do you think in the last week 1/4 of voters might put vote Big 12 champ Ok State over a team that didn't its division and already lost to LSU. If you think yes, Ok State has a shot.

VA Tech seems much improved since their loss. If they do not lose. What then? Thanks for responding btw.

so, if OSU is already #6 in both the coaches and harris polls .. they'd basically have to at least be #3 in the computers to wind up #4 in the BCS .. right ?

from what I can gather.. VT needs some serious help in the computers arena. they have a rare chance to avenge their only regular season loss by rematching against a top-15 clemson team. If Oklahoma St and Arkansas lose, they're #3 by default.
they're really weak in the computers though. if the ACC can sweep the SEC this coming weekend, they've got an outside shot (with voter help) to pass Alabama. Not likely IMO. They would have to be absolutely dominant for their last 2 games to get that voter assistance.

I was surprised Bama overtook OSU in Sagarin's poll, but it is really close. Less than a point between the two, and OSU will play #6 OU while Bama will play #14 Auburn (for those bitching about A&M being in the top 12
).
Depending on a few things, Bama could slip this week with some games going against them (PSU, Arky, losing) and OSU off, but they'll likely maintain #2 through this week.
In the end, OSU with a win over OU will likely make it close in that poll. I still see OSU with a win over OU for sure ahead of Bama in the Colley Matrix and Billingsley polls, and possibly the Peter Wolfe poll.
Either way, it will be interesting, and Bama will need to rely heavily on their opponents winning. UF, PSU, Vandy, this coming week in their respective games.

If LSU loses because Tiger Droppings talks them up as a GOAT, then we get what we deserve as fans and as a team.

They'll likely be higher than 3 in the computers. Likely tied with Bama at 2.5ish. They will be #2 in Billingsley's poll and probably the Colley Matrix, and are alreadt #3 in Sagarin's (likely Arky's best spot at #4.
If they end up #2, #3, and #3 in the remaining polls, they'll be #2.5 in ranking, and likely only move up following the last week of the season ahead of Bama in a few of those.

Auburn is projected to be unranked atm.. and that will get even worse after Bama beats them.
