I don't know if this has been posted yet, but being a member of the current Tiger Band I just want to thank EVERYONE who voted for us! It is greatly, greatly, appreciated!!

I watched all the other bands and you guys really put on the best performance hands down. Congrats on the win.

I certainly cast my vote, but I must ask this question - just why were you all doing this Indiana Jones deal?
I know there was a 25,000 prize but truth be told, wasn't this a bit "corny" for all the bands to play the same lame song? Did anyone feel this way?
So many people thought the movie was the worst by far in the franchise, and as such, to promote its DVD release, I can't help but think the bands were used to peddle the goods - not unlike elementary school kids selling candy and magazines.

The folks who set it up invited all of the preseason top 10, and LSU was one of those who accepted.
The reason why LSU appeared to spend a lot more time working on it than the others is probably because compared to the other teams, LSU's band desperately needed that money.

Totally understand - just couldn't help but feel as though these fine college bands were somehow being "pimped out" to help promote a lame Indiana Jones movie.
By the way - love the band - have 2 different LSU band CDs - so I am a supporter.

They are going to bring back some of the songs on a trial basis, but I have absolutely no doubt that the drunken fricks who go the game solely as the culmination of a massive social event will ruin it.

yea we did it because of the money and national exposure we can get... the only two national contest the band has entered we have won... so that looks good for our program... I really do want to thank all of the tiger fans that voted for us over the last few weeks.... i know we were annoying with the begs for votes but we really needed the help.... we are trying to put on a great show for upcoming georgia so hopefully yall will like it ... also owwie oww is making its way back into the playlist and hopefully if that goes well tiger rag will be brought back in... please continue to support the program and

I was in a section (65) directly across from the LSU Band and I have to say they were awsome. The group of fans just to the south of them and above were rocking. Good job.
