Can’t have a true center grab just two rebounds.
We lack that aggressive rebounder and shot blocker.
Stromile Swift
Brandon Bass
Tryus Thomas
Johnny O’Bryant
Jordan Mickey

We just don’t have a physical big or a leaper.

See you Tuesday night

Imagine this team with Bigby-Williams, Smart, Reid, Williams and days..... not to mention if Waters stays and Kiir puts on more weight! This team will be scary good

Wade is doing more with less and that’s all we can ask for Right now. We don’t Match up very well in the paint and it shows. Shot the ball horribly from beyond the arc, couldn’t rebound, and the refs were horrible down the stretch. We will get Better but we will have games like tonight.

If this team had Tyrus Thomas, they'd be a damn tough team to beat anywhere/anytime.

Great? Nah. We just need to make the NIT and then worry about next year. One player would only add a little bit of depth that is badly needed. Michael Jordan in his prime at NC might help this team make the NCAA tourney.

A big rim protector that can rebound would make light-years of difference to this team

Agree but this team shows so much promise. Honestly, last night, we showed grit but our game was just a little off. Bama was on fire.

LSU is going to struggle vs. long physical teams. That's just what it is this year. Epps is a good offensive rebounder but he gets beat up inside trying to defend the post. Reath has some skill offensively, but he just doesn't have the instincts to be a good rebounder. You can tell he was a tall kid who was taught to play basketball vs. someone who just grew up playing basketball.

The team has limitation and they have to equalize the game by shooting it well from deep. Going 7-25 from deep for 28% is on many nights going to be a death sentence for this team...particularly when they play physical defensive teams like Bama.

Unfortunately, UGA is one of those teams as well. However, I don't think they are quite as individually talented at Bama. The big issue is LSU really has no one to guard Maten. UGA is going to slow the game down to a grind. LSU will get some looks at 3's and they MUST make at least 35% of them. If not, they could be looking at going 0-3 at home to start SEC play. That would be incredibly disappointing in light of the fact they are 2-0 in SEC road games. After Vandy the road games get MUCH tougher (Tenn., Auburn, Florida), so you almost feel like the game against UGA is a must win.

A scorer like Blakeney would have been a nice asset last night.

They really weren't. Bama only shot 44% from the field and 27% from 3. For an LSU defense that has had it's struggles this year those aren't bad numbers. The difference is Bama shot an incredible 100% from the FT line (18-18) and crushed LSU on the glass in the second half. LSU actually shot 48% from the field in the 2nd half. The problem is they only took 21 shots. Bama slowed the game down to a crawl in the 2nd half and limited LSU to only one-shot possessions (2:1 edge in rebounding).

Sampson getting hurt was the tough break.

There is no legit scorer opposite Waters.

You can say that, but he might just be being realistic. LSU fans get excited about anything, jump on the band wagon and expectations go through the ceiling. The truth is, this is a NIT team and with some breaks have a chance at the Tourney. I am really excited about next year when we actually have the talent. Waters is by far the best player on the court for us this year. Next year, they will not be able to focus on him and he will be able to light it up or open up the underneath. It should be fun to watch.

Thought LSU was pressing a little to impress the huge crowd and got anxious a few times in the first half when they could have jumped to a 7 or 8 point lead.

BAMA got a couple of lucky bounces off the rim which fell through on three point shots. They also had an incredible night at the free throw stripe. If they just shoot their average the game is down to the last shot.

Possibly yes, but no real fan wants to tamper down their excitement because someone tells them too. Let's just live in the moment with the team and ride along with them. It's a 50/50 shot at calling where a team will finish.

He may be right, but he could also be wrong. Taking on his attitude leads to lack of support and enthusiasm. The rest of us are riding.

We also need another ball handler. That's coming next year.
