Vargas’ nickname was literally “circus” because when he touched the ball anything could happen. But I’m sure that’s offensive to jackasses like this guy who’s obviously mind reading and assuming intent for something that had no nefarious meaning behind it. Ask yourself what’s more funny, saying “a monkey on a football” or “a person balancing themself on a football?” “Monkey fricking a football“ is a common joke about someone being goofy on a football field so it’s really not hard to figure out where this altered comment stems from and it’s not racism. This guy is a shite starter he does it 24-7 on multiple boards.

For a guy his size, Naz Reid is actually an above average shooter and passer. That’s a large part of why he HAS made it in the nba.

Naz gets a lot of shite on this board, and a lot of it is completely unjustified. He came to play every night, had no off the court problems, and was a key contributor on the best LSU basketball team in awhile.

Having said that, yes he could definitely tighten up that handle.

Quarterman really did spend so much time in the damn corner.

I've never heard any concrete evidence of this but just reading between the lines it seemed he got in an Alpha Dog contest with Simmons and it splintered the team and CJJ was in no way equipped to deal with that. The kids on that team seemed to genuinely dislike each other.

Yeah, how he’s made it in the nba is mind boggling. He’s one of the worst shooters I’ve seen in a long time....bricking 3s in the tournament, thinking he’s Jordan.

You serious? Dude made a ton of threes, especially for his size. It seems like he made everything he looked at.

Am I making this up or did Jermaine Williams' jump shots and free throws have like 0 back spin on them? I remember being weirded out by that.

one of the best threads in awhile. Many historic, amazing, and nostalgic memories. One that stands out that hasn't already been mentioned is Ricky Blanton's undershirt -why? but loved the way that guy played
