Lsu will also play northwestern St.on Nov.16 and southeastern la.on Nov.22

We really need two OOC home games against top 50 teams.

I know they are working on scheduling a game the first weekend of January, which would give them 30.

Apparently Wichita St. wants to get into the Nov. 8 event in Dallas where LSU was supposed to play Texas. Problem is, they're unable to find an opponent. Although I doubt LSU would jump back in with the UMASS game being 4 days later on the road (at 11:00am), I wonder if there is still any interests on LSU's part? Of note, Wichita is also going to participate in ESPN's "Marathon".

I say lets do it. The more exposure the better for this program. Win or lose these games will help our RPI and our tournament resume in March. If LSU wins these early game it will create alot of buzz locally and nationally.

I would be happy with playing Wichita St. Would be a very tough opener though.

I agree. Our incoming freshmen will play important roles for us this season. Wouldn't hurt to get these guys more quality experience. I'd be more nervous if this game was a few days before the Old Spice Classic, but the team should be ready to handle a game against UMass after playing Wichita St.

Not sure. I know for a fact that they lost two key pieces from last years Final Four team. Still, they have a good program, and should reload fairly well. I believe they have a ULL transfer ready to play this year too.
