Well it's better than Les Miles saying that he's certain that we'll see Tyler Moore behind the plate again, yet he never goes back again. " um, you see, there are some technique issues that we need to address, and I can assure you that they will be fixed."

I am always intrigued in following those two coaches as to which approach is better.

Agreed but i have to think they knew Moore didnt have the arm to be the everyday catcher. Hes much better suited for 1st base.

RE: the catcher situation, did not Mainieri not know that Moore had the weakest arm before. All fall, he kept mentioning how he looked the best.

As a player, you want straight forward and honest. It doesn't have to be mean. Just say it like it is without any sugar or pepper. Any other way could be misinterpreted or over analyzed. He's the same way with freshmen and upper classmen. You're at lsu playing in front of 6 to 10k every night, honesty is the last thing that should bother these guys.

He just blame Moore for anything. He just said what anyone else could see. People are way too sensitive.

Yeah he did. He slammed his catcher skills big time.

I bet you also complain about how Les' quotes are always jedi-mind trick coach speak.

The problem with taking out Moore is that, of the 3, he's been the best bat.

Yep. I'm guessing he's just hoping one of the other guys will step up at the plate soon.

How? He compared him to other LSU players talking about the difference between them. Arm is not his strength. He's a good blocker, the quickest, and works well with the pitchers. That's what put him ahead. But that's not what was showcased last night or what PM was asked about.

He's been one of our better run producers as a starter though and gives you a big bat from the left side.

I love how middle aged fans on the internet are more upset about this than Tyler Moore is.

Don't get me wrong. I'm huge fan of Moore. If I'm making my lineup for Vandy right now he's the DH, possibly at 1B.

Scivicque looks good to me, hes just pressing with RISP like pretty much the whole team. I think LSU's two biggest concerns are starting pitching and protecting bregman. I actually like our bullpen although i dont think McCune should be closing.

Mainieri fan boys get so upset if someone criticizes anything he does. The thread exploded after that one comment.

This isn't even about coaching which y'all like to get up in arms about if anyone says anything bad. It's about how he talks to the media. He's always been quick to pile on a player.

Mainieri cannot do wrong. Even off the field.
