Freeman has been named opening day starter at 3rd but I think Lockridge will challenge him for PT. I like Deichmann at 1st, especially if he can become more consistent at the plate. When Bryce Jordan is fully recovered from his injury, he will be an option at 1st as well as DH.

I don't think anyone has been named "opening day starter". It was just PM putting out the current depth chart. It will change prior to day 1.

Freeman is at the top of the depth chart at third base with 20 days till opening night.

FYI, the practice/scrimmage schedule for this coming week will be released tomorrow morning which is an off day for the team.
I spelled it 'Lockeridge' but when I was at the scrimmage yesterday I saw his name on the back of his uniform spelled 'Lochridge' as in 'Loch Ness.'
