Thanks for the info everyone! Too bad, but saved me a lot of trouble. :)

Baseball Season Tix

What am I up against to get 2-4 baseball season tix in the grandstands? I tried to get tix in the grandstands as part of the 15-game package, but there were none available 2 minutes after the packages opened up for sale. I don't want to try to get them last minute or have it put to me on StubHub.

By the way, how are the seats in the grandstands? Just a metal bench? I'll bring my stadium seats if so. Thanks
I wish I would have heard about this, would love to have gone out.
We were playing with house money against OU. The loss doesn't hurt us. The committee isn't going to fault us for going toe-to-toe with the #1 team in the nation and even dominating a majority of the game. With the way we've been playing since Victor and Hornsby hit the line up, all we have to do is hold par, win the games we're supposed to win, and with the ratings draw Simmons brings, the big dance is a lock.

Between home and first--that's what I was thinking. That way you can typically get a good view of the batter facing head-on as he swings. Glad to hear the sun isn't too much of an issue in that case. Only Vandy and Florida are Saturday day games I'm looking at. All the other conference Saturday games are night. I'll stick with Saturday and the grandstands between home and 1st in that case.

Awesome! So would you say it makes much difference which grandstand you're in for day or night games?

Is it typically a better atmosphere for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday games?

Good deal, grandstands it is. Any idea how much face typically runs? As far as the sun goes, which side of the field is better?

These are going on sale February 5th. I'd like to get a pair of decent tix for the 5 Saturday conference games. Any ideas on how much I can expect to pay and suggestions on where I might be able to get good seats without paying anything crazy?

Started with confusing and long lines for beer and food. After a few yrs of over planning it was too much of a cluster, then BRPD had a checkpoint outside the event.

They could have survived the "over planning" part of it, but that spider's web DWI check point just about ruined it. I hear/read they were arresting people with under a .08 BAC. Nobody wants to go to an event under the fear of being arrested after literally drinking two beers. That's ridiculous.

That's crappy. Guess I'll have to hit the Uber.

Great info, thanks!

We usually get there about 9 to 9:30 and stay until the end when Les speaks.

Cool, thanks. Sounds like it will be worth hanging around for the day. Makes sense, since the announcements should be rolling in sporadically throughout. I'm sure there will be other interesting things happening as well.

A day off of work in the middle of the week just to talk LSU football, drink beer, and eat jambalaya. Let me know when I get to the part that sucks.

The silent auction is cool. That's the whole reason my brother goes, he usually walks away with several items. He beat out Louis Coleman in a bidding war on a painting a few years back.
TGBFTL comes and play for the crowd later in the day followed by Miles and the rest of the coaching staff. Former LSU players hanging out.

Sounds great!

Me and a couple of friends go every year and we never get a table, in the past at river center 40 bucks was all day food and beer, at the casino was $100, there is silent auctions, video's of recruits, espn etc, just depends some on here hate it but I always enjoy it, if nothing else I am out of the office for the day.

Sounds good! Is it worth going early for, or do the mornings drag? What time does it really get rolling?

Sounds great! I won't be at a table though. Any other advise for general admission?
Thanks for the feedback. What do you dislike so much about it?
