While I agree that beating Kentucky in basketball is a very big deal and much bigger than any baseball scrimmage, I also have the intellectual capability to care about two things at once.

So I do actually give a shite.

I believe Gio's HR was off Gunter but CPM was running pitchers in so quickly, I may be incorrect.

I’ll never understand how he can’t sit in the 90s.

I too was excitedly watching LSU basketball whip Kentucky on TV. I waited till the game was over so that I would not compete with all the new basketball fans posting redundant threads during the game. Sorry if that pissed you off.

Scuba, he’s got plenty other basketball threads he can go to if he don’t want to know what’s going on with baseball. Keep up the good work!

Hilliard is still not back to where he was last season, IMO. I think he needs more work before he can be counted on to be effective this season. I really hope that he is able to return to the level of his freshman year. He could be a key pitcher out of the bullpen for us.

You executed perfectly, and I thank you. I enjoy reading all types of topics.

I have to imagine Hilliard is just shaking off the rust at this point. Once he’s able to get a couple outings going without having to rest his arm we’ll see him back in form.

Hill seems to be working his way into some serious mound time. Thought he would be more of a project to start but is putting up good numbers. What are you thoughts on him, Scuba?

If I was coach, I'd start him on against SLU Tuesday night. This spring he has consistently thrown really well, 15.1IP 7H 12K and 4BB. That earns a start, IMO.

Scuba, what are your thoughts on how Hess has looked in the Spring? I know the stats have been good but I was wondering if his mechanics have been smoother or if he has been pounding the zone more.
