Yeah, I’m kinda insinuating that he’ll be our 3B but no one really knows.
Idk, he could lock down 1B. There’s so many possibilities right now.

Also, I’m not against platooning at C. Especially midweek games and double headers. I hate to see one guy catch two games in one day. But that’s not a RHP LHP thing.

It's going to be interesting to see what he can do in the field.

Have enjoyed being able to see all the info put together on here. Great job! Was wondering if there is something I can find about putting together a spreadsheet to keep stats on my own after scoring a game? I have found a template to start with, but how would it be determined on who or what order to enter the roster? Thanks and Geaux Tigers!

Been to the Football NC game, and final four. Was looking at finally going to Omaha provided LSU makes it. Looking online, is that correct the cheap seats start at around $200 per ticket, and go way up from there. Seems steep for baseball. Anyone gone that can validate?

New D1 podcast today. Nice segment on LSU starts around the 25 minute mark. Shout out to Gorilla Ball.

No. They are about $20 for the cheapest seats.

Doughty was a league average hitter in the SEC last year. . 723 OPS or somewhere around there. Now I think he has it in him, but he needs to hit better in SEC play to have a 70hit

Your resident Hayden Travinski (potential) Stan here, is there a world where he becomes the routine option at DH?

GD Ive loved the few Hayden moon missiles we’ve seen.

No, there's so many guys with big bats lined up for DH. Especially, Berry if he's not in the field. I like Travinski but pitching matchups and competition to be DH I don't think there will be a routine guy. IMO.

The ground is beyond saturated right now. Probably has more to do with not wanting to tear up the field and someone getting hurt.

he was smashing everything he saw in non-conference last season but produced very few extra base hits...still he can generate some pretty exciting exit velocities.

Last year early in the season he had 4 hits 3 of them were HRs. I like the power he has and think he will bring up his average with Johnson's help. He would be absolutely legit if he could sit around .290.

Not really concerned with power from Thompson. He's one of those we just need to get on base....

I guess i might have been off but I saw Thompson as one of those wiry type hitters who are lean but explosive. I was expecting 7-10 homers this year possibly more

He had 8 last year hitting 0.250. His issue was pitch selection (as was anyones who wasn’t named Crews or Morgan). He only got on base 0.324. That was the biggest issue. Better pitch selection and both average and OBP will go up 40+ points easily.
