They must not have watched the games. On another note, baseball polls are about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

1. Florida | 3-0 | 1

2. Oregon State | 3-0 | 2

3. Florida State | 3-0 | 3

4. Arkansas | 3-0 | 4

5. Texas Tech | 4-0 | 5

6. North Carolina| 2-1 | 6

7. TCU | 2-1 | 7

8. Kentucky | 4-0 | 8

9. Stanford | 3-0 | 9

10. Texas A&M | 3-0 | 10

11. Clemson | 3-0 | 12

12. UCLA | 3-0 | 13

13. Cal State Fullerton | 0-3 | 11

14. Texas | 2-1 | 14

15. Virginia | 2-1 | 15

16. Mississippi | 3-0 | 16

17. Southern Miss | 3-0 | 21

18. Vanderbilt | 2-1 | 18

19. Louisville | 3-0 | 19

20. Indiana | 2-1 | 20

21. South Alabama | 3-1 | 24

22. LSU | 1-2 | 17

23. St. John’s | 3-0 | 25

24. UCF | 1-2 | 22

25. Connecticut | 2-1 | NR

Dropping Out: Mississippi State (23).

We are so lucky to not have been swept, just an ugly, terrible showing to open the season.

Whether they dropped or not these polls mean absolutely nothing. All we can hope for is the team to show improvement throughout the year and get hot at the right time. If those two things happen the polls won't have anything to do with it, and we will be in line to have a nice postseason.

Because Baseball America, unlike our fans, isn't going to overreact. Now you lose to UNO and have similar games against Texas, then you might see real slippage.

Baseball polls are different then most. Most people stick to there preseason rankings early in the year and as the season goes on they transition to what has happened on the field.

Also people that understand baseball know not to make conclusions based off of one weekend of baseball.

This is normal for baseball poll early. It's why no one should be ranked until mid/late april. No matter the results, they don't move teams around.

That is surprising. They still believe In the LSU baseball brand.

Fullerton swept by Stanford, 0-3, and remains in top 15.

Fullerton could be 0-7 next week and still be ranked. It seems they always have a losing record early in the season yet remain ranked.

Baseball polls are always slow to react to actual games early with ranking movement. Maybe the nature of baseball. Eventually these polls catch up.

IIRC, a couple of seasons ago, UCLA started their baseball season with a 2-8 record and was still receiving votes to be a top 35 team.
