Baseball needs a win today, badly!

Sitting at 14 wins in conference. I think 15 wins gets us a host spot, although 16 wins would make that more concrete. If we get swept today, we could be headed to Nashville trying to win 2-3 to ensure a host spot.
14 wins in conference puts us as a 2 seed somewhere.
15 wins puts us on the bubble as a host.
16 wins ensures a top 16 host site.
17 wins puts us in the conversation for a top 8 seed.
18 wins ensures as top 8 seed.
These last 4 conference games are going to be huge. We need to put yesterday behind us and go get a win today.

15 wins puts us on the bubble as a host.
16 wins ensures a top 16 host site.
17 wins puts us in the conversation for a top 8 seed.
18 wins ensures as top 8 seed.

The national seed left the conversation yesterday. SEC tourney won't affect that much and we don't have the pitching depth to make it through that grinder anyway. 17 wins gets us a host. Need today and 2/3 next weekend, imo

I agree, 15 isn't a host in my opinion. I think 16 gets a host spot maybe, but probably paired with a team we want no part of. 17 seems to be the number they need.

I disagree. 16 wins will get us a host. Win today and get one in Nashville and we’re a host site, imo. I honestly think if you take 2/3 from Vandy (especially if the take the Arky series), we’re in the discussion for a top 8.
I’ve seen worse Tiger teams make a run in Hoover.

If we lose the Vandy series, the committee is giving Vandy our host slot. How many 15-15 teams have hosted?
Our RPI isn’t propping us up anymore. From 16 to 30 so far this weekend
FTR, I don’t think we host with 16 wins either. Like I said yesterday, we need to beat Vandy to host now. At least if RPI has any bearing with the selection committee anymore.

14 wins puts us on the bubble to even go to a regional, and if we do go, I’d expect us to be a 2/3 at Oregon State. Ending the season on an 0-6 run in conference doesn’t bode well for consideration. We got sent to a regional last year with 13 to honor CPM. Our RPI off of the two losses went from 16 to 31. If you add in 4 more losses we could see an RPI in the 40-50 range.
15-16 gets us a 2 seed somewhere.
17 likely gets us a host (14-16)
18 gets us a host and a decent possibly of a top 8 seed.
Adding in wins or losses from the SEC tourney can help or hurt these positions.
It’s not just us, the teams we needed to lose this weekend are winning. Auburn, 8&4 and Vandy are moving up while we are falling. We were #4 in conference, now we could be tied for #6 depending on the Vandy/AR finish this morning. Hell, if we lose today, Ole Miss might even pass us up. Georgia is also a threat to pass us depending on the next 4 games.

You’re way to high on LSU’s resume. I don’t say this lightly… your breakdown here is terrible.
14 wins meaning LSU gets swept in their last two SEC series puts them in as a 3 seed.
15 wins and LSU is a 2 seed somewhere.
16 wins and LSU is likely a 2 seed somewhere with a shot at hosting based on an SEC tournament run.
17 wins and LSU is hosting.
18 wins and LSU is hosting with a very outside shot at a top 8 seed based on a deep run in the SEC tournament.
