I was at the game so I haven't read this thread. How many "Fire Javi" posts were there?

Did Coach Davis weigh in on the implications of having to go on the road so early in the season? And what was the preface meal? Thanks

He took the first team from Louisiana to Omaha. I can't believe there are some baseball fans that don't know this

Well I wasn't alive to see it happen (I think). College baseball history isn't something that's as talked about as football or baseball.

let's put that in perspective... Skip wasn't even hired yet

Because bunting is stupid, and people who like the bunt are stupid.

Not trying to be a name dropper but last night I heard these guys sitting behind me talking and they sounded like they really knew the game. About the 3rd inning I turned around to sneak a look at them and it was Ty Ross, Tyler Hanover and Austin Nola.

I asked Ross what did that home plate umpire in Omaha say to him last year when they obviously had a few words.

He said he thought the umpire was calling a terribly inconsistent game so a few times when the ump called a pitch a ball that Ross thought the ump had previously called a strike, he would ask the ump where the ball missed. He said the ump finally told him to quit asking because he didn't have to explain his calls.

Ross said he told the ump he just wanted to be able to tell his pitcher where the pitches were missing so the pitcher could do better. He said that was when the ump walked to the plate to sweep it clean and faced him and told him if he asked again where a pitch missed he was going to throw Ross out of the game.
