Have to say I'm shocked they pulled Arnold and haven't given Safford/Thompson a shot at 3B. Very questionable by Mainieri, especially after the Hellmers performance yesterday

Basically the same as yesterday, just with Bianco at SS instead of Arnold.

I knew it. Hellmers at 3B. Bianco at SS. CPM calling the shots. Let’s ride.

I am sure the blanco at ss for game 2 was planned ahead of time. Probably didn’t want to bench hellmers after 1 game and risk his confidence. Especially if you frisky believe he can do it.

I’m sure the lineups for at least the first 2 games were scripted, regardless of performance. We’ll probably see another few new faces tomorrow, too.

Every lineup for a few weeks is an experiment
No need to be shocked by anything at this point

Bianco starting at shortstop was obviously planned ahead of time but why sit the only kid who hit the ball hard yesterday?

really...I wish we would see some more of the younger guys honestly. I don't mind the change. Hellmers had a rough day. I agree with starting him today.

.500 fielding percentage is better than the last time we had a 3rd baseman from Jesuit.

I feel for the kid and know it's been one game but you cannot sit here and tell me he's an SEC third basemen. No shot. Kid should be in the bullpen and has a real shot there, not at 3B.

My comment was borne more out my disdain for Hollander than anything Hellmers did.

Especially with an uber talented kid like Thompson sitting on the bench

No I understand, but Hellmers to me just is not an SEC 3B. Kid didn't even stick at 3B in the Catholic League, let alone the SEC

Why Maineri does this shite every year. He said he’s going to give Bianco a shot at short.

Guys we are 15 years in with CPM. If you listen to what he says you know exactly what he is going to do. He is usually extremely honest about the way his lineups are going to be over the course of a weekend and he doesn’t deviate from his plan.

For frick sake dude, we get it, you don't like Hellmers at third. I'm going to go ahead and assume the coaching staff, who has seen him daily in practice, knows more than you who has seem him play one college baseball game.
