Once aqgain, PM leaves Ross in too long. He was awesome for 7 innings...TAKE HIM OUT TO START THE 8TH. We need to win this game. We cannot get swept again

He made a GREAT pitch to start the 8th, then cheesed the play. CPM left him in 1 batter too long, imo. He should have sensed that Ross would press after that play.

Because some of us refuse to give up. We want to think the best but Mainieri doesn't get that Matty has no clue and no confidence lately. We had 12 walks that we could not bring them in.

I would rather let bert finish the game like he should have friday. don't want to lose another game because of a blown save by ott

Why didn't Mainieri just leave well enough alone and leave Bertuccini in?

I turned off the radio again when this dickhead sat Bert. PM pushing all the right buttons again. Got to sit Bert down because he has been type-cast as a situational pitcher and Matty is the "Stopper". Jeez, I hope they rally in the ninth.

he cause is him probably falling behind in the count and then having to come with a fat 85MPH fastball down the heart of the plate.

The fist batter of the 8th grounded to the pitcher. Even in hindsight you are clueless.

What could have changed so drastically between last year and this to Matty Ott that made him go from automatic, to this shell of his former self??? I dont understand.

It's easy to predict when you just remember Ott's recent history.

Exactly...Coaches and good hitters know pitchers tendancies. Ott is figured out and unless he develops new pitches, he's cooked.

I don't care, it is like not mentioning a no hitter when it is happening. You don't "Sense" a grand slam when it is a very real possibility. Please do us a favor and don't listen or watch the next 4 games.
