If you are going to bring the infield in during the top of the first, you might as well be bunting in the bottom of 1 with runners on first and second with no outs. If 1 run is super important in the top half, 1 run is just as important in the bottom.

Exactly. Which is why I was shocked he didn’t bunt Broussard. When PM bunts, it’s in the first when the leadoff gets on. He had Watson do it multiple times this year.

Possibly if he stays until his junior year but he is a draft eligible sophomore. Sometimes those guys drop because of signability issues.
