One of the lesser talked about problems with this team is that the core guys, and Cabrera is one of the main culprits, are not coming through when they need to. Inning killer there after first and second no outs. With the way this team struggles to get going a bunt, even by duplantis, should be an option. No one is knocking the cover off the ball to the point where you let them hit no matter what. This team has no offensive identity.

I support PM in general but I do NOT understand WHY he refuses to bunt. He had Smith at 2nd & Broussard at 1st - no outs - Duplantis hits a long fly. If he hunts him with 1 sac fly, he generates a run. I do not understand why he refuses to bunt. It hurts the team at times

Does some uncoventional stuff sometimes

No. Dup is who you don’t bunt. He puts it in play and he’s not a double play risk generally. Playing for a big inning early is good.

You don’t bunt with 2 on in the first fricking inning. Ever.

Broussard is back on track.

And I agree, we don't need to bring the infield in, in the first inning.

Possibly, but a sac bunt moving runners to second and third and a run scores on that grounder he just hit instead of a double play. You tack on runs when you can and put pressure on other teams. Instead you feed their momentum by stranding runners.
