I can not understand a hitter standing there and looking at 3 pitches and not swinging.

I didn't apply it in that situation. Go back and read it again.

Arky Pitcher was having trouble getting an out and then we just give him a freeby. We bunted and only got one more run.
Its PROVEN statistically to be a bad strategy.

No problem ... much easier to do it with my team up 3-0, though.
And much more enjoyable!

No WAY that was a strike.
And, yeah, bunting for a hit is totally different. That's awesome. But I grew up watching Earl Weaver manage the O's and then Skip and LSU. I'm a firm believer in the big inning and "large ball". The Hall of Famers I spent my life watching taught me that.

That's the way Skip did it, Hit away there is as many things that can go wright with it than go wrong. He hardly ever bunted a runner over unless there was a chance that he could catch defense off gaurd and the batter that was at the plate he trusted to put it where they aint.
We bunt less than the vast majority of the teams in the entire nation...but this wasnt a bad sac bunt. We scored an easy run off of it. You guys are being a bit over zealous.

To be fair, Skip had double digit HR hitters throughout most of his line-ups.
