He is famous for that, or maybe I should say infamous. I'll admit though, I am horrible at judging a ball right off the bat. I stand up and think it might be gone too. But I'm not calling a game on the radio. I tend to give him a mulligan on those.

Wow G that is pretty quick.

While true, that stat ignores things like who is at bat, who is on the bases, who is on deck, who is pitching etc.
Well, obviously. It's the basic run expectation (the book, if you will). You are more likely to score a run with a runner on first and one out than a runner on second and two outs.
but to apply it in this situation, we took the bat out of Hanover's hands to rely on Landy to get a clutch hit. That doesn't seem like a good idea in this specific situation either.

Come on Mitchell, let's rattle this pitcher.

That's the way Skip did it, Hit away there is as many things that can go wright with it than go wrong. He hardly ever bunted a runner over unless there was a chance that he could catch defense off gaurd and the batter that was at the plate he trusted to put it where they aint.

WTF was that about? He dared Forrest to strike him out and he did just that.

The is absolutely no excuse to stand there and take 3 straight pitches without swinging...

Man, did they have a cardboard cut-out of Mitchell. It is almost like he never moved.
Posted on 5/2/09 at 9:19 pm to SLC
No problem ... much easier to do it with my team up 3-0, though.
