Great win. Looked like Hess really got amped by the crowd after strike two. Maybe a bit too much. Dude was breathing fire.

Great game all around. Marceaux showing the reason for his hype. Was that the longest outing by any pitcher all season? The bats did decently well against a good pitcher. Defense made some nice plays too. Almost like there's some talent on this team.

That inside pitch he threw had me wondering. If a batter swings at strike 3 and it hits him, does the catcher still have to pick it up and tag or throw him out?

That's really impressive. Marceaux was really on tonight. Hit spots and had good sequences to set up hitters. Hess threw fire.

Looks like Hess' pitch count was 22, for whoever was asking.

LSu will be the 5 seed in SEC Tournament now that Tennessee takes game 2 7-5.

James Moran

Paul Mainieri hasn’t decided who’ll start tomorrow, but said it’ll be a “combination of guys.”
Decision won’t be effected by the OM/Tenn result. #LSU will play to win even if it clinches No. 5 seed tonight
