G is the pitcher throwing strikes and we're swinging thru it or are we making him look good?

Lester, I think we're the only two people who hate small ball on this board.

no.. i appreciate moving runners over when you can.. but if you have the bats we do, why take them out of the game.. but then again, PM is much smarter than i am..

Baserunning is suspect. Two thrown out stealing, but playing it too safe, not sending runners to third on a couple occasions when the ball was hit to RF. Leaving WAY too many stranded. Looks very lax. Hopefully they will wake up. Illinois is solid.

Haig has a 0.00 ERA. No wonder. We can help him by running out of innings and having less at bats against him.

We had a runner in scoring position and our two best hitters coming up. Why bother running? Why risk taking the bats out of their hands? Just a terrible decision. I can at least understand running Schimpf to third, but Dean to 2nd? Why? With two outs, we don't need to break up the double play.

I don't see the need to bold that one game in your scoreboard.

Runner on 1st, no outs...

Ball, 1-0...
Strike, 1-1...
Throw to first...
Pitchout, 2-1...
Runner is caught stealing, 1 out...

Trying to put another running in scoring position and trying to take away the force at second...
