It's an SEC rule that doubleheaders on the last day have to be 7 innings. Strictly speaking, this isn't a DH, but I suppose that the 6.5 innings of Game 1 that will be played Saturday is enough to count.

Pitch count wise he didnt, but he pitched 24 to warm up before the 3 innings, and also the pitches warming up before the game. You're suddenly now up to at least 90.

Game 1 on Saturday will be 9 inning because they'll resume in the 3rd. That's not a total of 7 innings

Why is everyone so upset about playing a 7-inning game against probably the best pitching staff in the country? A longer game benefits them more than us.

The coaches and Alex himself will have to decide that, but I'm just saying what makes the most sense if your goal over this series and the tourney is to host a regional

Resuming at 11:00 am tomorrow allows games 2 and 3 to be full 9 inning games. Tough luck for young kids taking final exams tomorrow. GEAUX TIGERS
