Nice win. Unlike last weekend, we didn't let them generate any momentum after we got the big lead. Let's hope the dominance carries over to tomorrow.

I was so busy having fun, I would have paid the government to let me do it.

I heard Doha could be good, too, but we were usually locked up at the 'Deid. I did make it to the ice rink at the mall once!
In Bahrain the Navy used mostly contract quarters. I stayed at the Diplomat Hotel most of the time. Irish bar in the basement well-stocked with ex-pat Gulf Air stewardesses.

nice.. i went to that ice rink also.. i did a tour of Europe, so to speak, that night at a contractor village.. then had to sneak back onto base at daylight, trying not to get shot by a Marine..
what was the Camp there? Asalaya or something like that?
to this day though, the heat and humidity at Al Udeid(Sp?) is the worst i have ever experienced..

Yeah, Asaliyah, I think.
July in Bahrain was brutal, too. 120 during the day, "cooling" off to the high 90's at night, with 100% humidity. It takes a lot of BTUs to get air that humid that hot.
We had a 2 AM to 6 AM curfew in Bahrain. Slept in the car a couple of nights (if alternate arrangements weren't available!) The Marine guards would get pretty pissed when you came dragging in at 6:01 in your going-out clothes, but you were legal then!

we actually got arrested by the AF MPs at Asaliyah for waking up the Marine general at 4am when we jumped in the pool.. they were cool about it though..

AF MPs = rent-a-cops! AF OSI are pretty uptight, though. Maybe they're just bitter they don't have a cool series like NCIS!
We had a couple of Army SF guys roll a Humvee DUI at Al Udeid in 2002. We lost our "3-beers a night" privileges for a week, but everybody generally realized that these guys had been working pretty hard for a while and needed to let off some steam.
And it's hard to total a Humvee!

It was fun to get the other teams look at things...may do the same tomorrow. WAPI for those that would like to listen.

i remember the ticketing system now..
My record under that system was six. Then they started reminding all the barkeeps about that "Integrity first" stuff and making the rotating guys turn in their beer cards instead of passing them to their buddies.
The worst part was hiking to the Cadillacs at 3 AM in the pitch black without tripping over the tent ropes!
Gotta run. See you guys tomorrow!
