Bianco is gonna be fine. It took Kramer a while to figure things out.

Thanks for the stats report. In your opinion why does the walk on at ss not get any at bats? You think he's just there to plug a vacant spot defensively?

There are at least two walk on position players here for fall ball. Neither has batted, unlike previous fall scrimmages. Perhaps someone on the Coaches Committee can ask this question of the staff. I don't have much access to the coaches.

Mathis seems to be stroking the ball.

Thanks for the update.

Dugas also seems to be hitting well, but he seems like a player without a position. Not once has he been at second base. Is that because the staff already knows he can handle it, and want to see other players trot out there? Or is it because second base isn't his position to take? If it isn't, hard to see him winning a spot outside of DH.

Because everyone is playing because it’s fricking fall practice you imbecile.

It’s like you morons have been opening the scrimmage threads hoping Hughes doesn’t get a hit just so you vomit shite into the thread. I bet you were fricking livid the last two scrimmages when he got hits and one of them was even *gasp* an extra base hit.

Dugas will be at 2B if he can hit.

He’s got the speed on the base paths and above average arm to make any play. Remember if Broussard could do it anyone could

I do agree that not much in this lineup outside of CF, RF is set right now, changing parts that will continue to change until the middle of spring ball.

50% of the replies when he went 0 for, have been about Hughes not hitting. Every thread where he has gotten a hit has been pretty quiet.

I just find it strange that Dugas hasn't played second in any scrimmage. Then Doughty's move from 3B to 2B, combined with Mathis hitting makes me kind of thini that's an option.

Dugas has played almost every position except 2B so far.

You are able to see whatever the hell you want to see from the scrimmages so far.

I think the main reason Dugas and Bianco are playing the outfield is that we don't have six outfielders available at this time.

That's totally possible. They may have said that they know full well Dugas is capable of playing second, so let's see what Cranford/Biggs/Doughty can do, while testing out Doughty in the OF if Willis or Hamtpon don't work out.

Just Dugas playing 1B plus all over the OF makes you wonder. Guess that's fine in October though.
