“In my time here at LSU, I don’t remember having more than handful of these kind of games,” said coach Paul Mainieri after the loss. “Our pitching wasn’t at the efficient level it needed to be, and we dug ourselves a big hole early in the game. Unfortunately, the game got of hand, but we fought back to get 16 hits and score nine runs. We just got off to a bad start, Florida was putting the bat on the ball, and they just got to us.”

I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make, that’s exactly what happened

The hatred towards Maineiri is so strong that speaking the truth is now a problem. Just because it’s not the answer you like doesn’t mean it’s not a truthful answer.

Well, I guess if LSU is satisfied with "great commentary" year on year rather a winning, I guess we got our man.

I'm not sure he's saying the comments were BS. I'm pretty sure he's talking about the game.

Maybe?

Once anyLSU coach and team has a bad stretch, they become irredeemable in many fans’ eyes. Successes are forgotten. Just the way it is

At this point I don’t believe it’s the wins and losses that are bothering people. It’s the way this team performs without energy and fire. And that’s coaching. They just don’t seem to have the drive to be a championship team. I think that’s the most bothersome aspect of this team in fans’ eyes.

Wrong it is 100 percent about the wins and losses. People don’t care about anything as long as you are winning.

Yes. Results, not excuses. And I come backs like the tired old stories of: oh i'ts early, give some time, we' ll be there at end if the season etc.

Love to see, but believe it I'll happen.

The biggest gripe on PM in the past was leaving somebody on the mound too long, sometimes surrendering a lead or barely holding on to it. Sometime losing a close game because of it.

We can only hope to improve to that position as of now. These kids aren't playing to their potential, their focus is hit and miss and they don't believe they can win... that's all a failure of leadership. Time for change at the Box.
