I absolutely believe that! Right not we don't have leadership or results!

We don't need a baseball analyst. We need coach who's able to acquire the correct mix of players and lead them to perform at top levels of college baseball.

The current coach has had them performing at the top levels of baseball

I respect your opinion. However, there seem to be many comments on this board which are negative.

Is he supposed to ignore their questions and walk away?

What does any of that have to do with you calling an accurate summarization of the game BS?

Anybody else read this quote and hear the whiny voice?

I know right? I’d love Paul Mainieri if he only spoke like Cookie Monster and talked about gumbo.

The biggest gripe on PM in the past was leaving somebody on the mound too long, sometimes surrendering a lead or barely holding on to it. Sometime losing a close game because of it.

This is very true. He leaves pitchers in too long. But I don’t blame him for leaving Hilliard in as long as he did. With the state of our pitching staff we had to try to get innings out of our starter. It didn’t work.

At this point I don’t believe it’s the wins and losses that are bothering people. It’s the way this team performs without energy and fire. And that’s coaching. They just don’t seem to have the drive to be a championship team. I think that’s the most bothersome aspect of this team in fans’ eyes.

Get that logic out here.

Yes that is what happened. But, we don' t need a coach who seems to view himself as a consultant rather a hands on coach.

Agree! If we really believe that rational, let's just give all the players a trophy and call the season a success!

Not really. I see comments on the board calling attention to the lack of coaching and assessment of weaknesses in the team. This has occurred for sometime.

Let's have results, not an analysis of what went wrong this time which very similar time and again.

After the game he gave an analysis

You will see the results tonight of what he did with that analysis

Baseball games / teams are constantly changing, coaches make adjustments, some times it works, others it doesn’t

I always hear that squeaky voice when i read quotes from Paul M.

To all of you goons asking what the lie in the statement....

quote:

“In my time here at LSU, I don’t remember having more than handful of these kind of games,”

This team has fallen behind too many times to count thus far this year. In some of those occasions, they have been able to recover, and win. When you play good teams, you will not be able to come back from many of those starts.

In the case that you read that to mean fall behind to the point of no return....well then it is an accurate statement. Just not the way I took it.

I understand and really hope you correct for tonight and the balance of the season.

My fear, with the repeated mistakes, like not making pitching changes when needed we will continue to have good analysis and not read and react during the game.
