Anyone been to a game at Blue Bell Park? Thinking of taking the old man to the Saturday game.

On the A&M website only tickets available are the SRO/Lawn/GA tickets which seem to be first come, first serve, with 2 sections of seats, and then a grass area.

Anyone ever done this or could provide any other details on the game experience there?

He wanted to go to one of the games at Minute Maid, but I can't make that work with my schedule, so looking at doing this instead.

Thought is, drive NOLA - Katy on Friday, eat some good mexican food on Sat night, drive up early Sat morning to Aggieland, take him to the Bush library, go to game, drive back to Katy after game, and then drive home Sunday after eating a good BBQ lunch.

There grass seating areas are pretty nice and everytime LSU plays there, a lot of LSU fans are in that area, down rf line I believe is the LSU dugout.

If you can handle bubbles and the ball four chant you will be fine.

It's a neat stadium since their renovations several years ago.

Looking forward to that Saturday game. Getting up early and hitting Snow's BBQ in Lexington before headed to College Station for beers and the game.

My wife and I went to three games there a couple of years ago. We won't go back. Stadium is OK though smallish. Fans are beyond annoying, bordering on rude.

I go every year. Check with LSU about tickets. If you are in TAF, you might be able to get tickets in the LSU section. If you aren't in TAF, join it. Then, contact a TAF officer. You can also buy tickets outside the gate. Normally bad weather. I've sat in 100 degrees and 40 degrees and been thru several rain delays.

Being that you're in Houston I'm sure you've met the weirdness that is an A&M fan. Now imagine a whole stadium of them. No thanks.

You wont find good Mexican food or BBQ in Katy. The original Lupe Tortilla is on Grisby st about 5 miles towards downtown from Katy and its really good. Much better than the other chain locations. BBQ, I would recommend going to Washington St and going to Truth BBQ.
