Vandy raped the SEC in 2013 and LSU beat them H2H and they didn't make it out of their home super.

Even if we did, it's not like it's a big deal. Of course they are a very talented team, but it's baseball. Vandy just won the NC after finishing 6th in the SEC, losing a series to the 12-18 Tennessee Vols, and going 0-2 in the SEC tournament getting outscored 18-3 (combined two games).

Heck the past 3 seasons the SEC regular season champ hasn't made it to the CWS.

that wasn't his point. the point was that even though vandy raped the sec in 2013, anything an happen in the postseason. vandy's 2013 team was much better than their team this year, even though they won a national title this season. they just picked the worst time possible to have a bad weekend. both lsu and vandy in 2013 were better than any team at the cws this season imo. not to be cliche, but that's just baseball sometimes.

Pretty impressive feat LSU has going so far with 3 consecutive years of Top 8 seeds but 0 wins in Omaha. Gotta fix that trend this year.

I thought it was pretty evident that Virginia was the best team in college baseball this past season, and I thought they were better than Vandy.
But I do agree with you that LSU and Vandy of 2013 were better than any teams in baseball this season and I would throw in UNC in that mix as well before Mike Fox went full imbecile.

Vandy won without Tyler Beede being a real big factor. Impressive.

His postseason stats were terrible. I think he finished the year with a .500 record.
But his performance in game 2 against UVA was huge for Vanderbilt, IMO. He went deep enough in that game to save their bullpen and allow them to be fresh for game 3.
