This is the guy who compared his firing to his father’s death...I feel sick

He was such a perfect fit. We can talk until we're blue in the face about what Burrow and Brady mean to LSU right now, but if we had kept Coach O I have no doubt we'd be in the playoff hunt right now.

Lol in all honesty, his recruiting is perfect for Louisiana

I’m sure he’d reel em in anywhere, but there’s really no way he could be as effective as he is in Louisiana

The man makes gumbo for recruits families. That hits home with these kids and their mammas

This is great! They went from claiming our title in ‘03 & having a self-proclaimed dynasty to envying our coach that they let slip away & that most of us thought wasn’t nearly good enough when he was hired. How the turntables!

I know a few USC grads who really wish they’d kept O. Seems like all the fans and grads and students wanted it.

Almost everyone associated with USC (STAFF, PLAYERS, FANS) wanted O. Hayden was the one that didn’t

O could do as good or better than Coach Pete at USC. QB play would never drop off. And once he’d get the depth and staff in order, they would walk to the playoffs every year. He would own recruiting on the west coast and he knows his way around SEC country. Glad he’s home though.

People like to eat in California too you know. Cajun food is just a unique experience for most there and he’d have to cut back on the cayenne for sure.

Makes ya think about all the people on this site complaining about the hire and typing the joke about how “he talk like us” over and over.

Bottom line, Orgeron is a miracle.

Pat Haden didnt want someone he considered gruff and unintelligible talking to USCs boosters, so he hired a guy who showed up drunk and unintelligible to talk to USCs boosters.

Good call Pat.

Eh, he wasn't fired. In fact Sark wanted to keep him on staff.

Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story though.

So O is a light-colored roux guy? I always imagined him as a dark roux guy.

And we now have John Robinson on staff as a consultant.

and O designed our practices after the way Pete ran his in USCs prime.

and our RB and OL coach are both USC alums (or maybe were on staff there, I cant remember).

and last week of course Marcus Allen was here to talk to the team before the TAM game.

The irony is were now more USC than USC
