Great video. Love his "That scene is the movie!" remark. I love when actors get it.
I'm disappointed more often than not when I watch most actor interviews, because the majority of the time they don't understand shite about the movie or script. They just show up, get outfitted by wardrobe/makeup, get lit by the crew, then do a few takes with the lines they memorized. A lot of times we will see an amazing performance and think "wow this actor/actress really just gets it," and then you'll watch them in an interview and realize they don't have a clue and that they just turned in a good performance. Which is their job, obviously, but I enjoy it a lot more when they really "get it"

There are so many actors who are in things they have no clue what it is.
I forget who it was. Maybe Brian Cox or Hugh Grant. Maybe someone else. And they were being asked about having credits for some straight to video children’s Barbie movie, and they were just like “I was in that?”
Also, I would say a lot of time, actors only have a small amount of visibility into the larger project. Whether they are only given their portion of the script or there are constant rewrites happening
