But but but if SFP hasn't heard of this sort of thing occurring at UF, UT, or Bama then that means that it doesn't.

when in teh past 3 years has UT, Bama, or UF had a player openly quit like byrd did last year?

I know Big Joe personally, he seems to love it down south as he just crossed into a frat, Rahem Alem's same frat, and is madly in love with his girl, I know for a fact.. next time I see or talk to him will ask him what the deal is..

You know that Byrd quit because you follow LSU football very closely. Byrd's 'quitting' wasn't national news. Maybe if you followed UT, Bama, or UF as closely as you follow LSU then it would be easier to detect players on those rosters openly 'quitting'.

I mean it's very tough to compare the internal drama between various schools because even true insiders know only a certain amount.

However, other than the Jay Williams/Duhon/Dunleavy Jr Duke teams of the late 90s and early '00s, any team that I have ever known anything about has had some level of dissension/players who hate the coaches/frick-ups who are given 10 second chances, etc. I guess the 2008 Dream Team counts as well, but obviously I know very little about the team.

i think the 2008 dream team actually developed almost a homo-erotic bond among the teammates

no lie

DJ Hall?

I agree with what Zeus is saying about following a team closely and knowing the details about them while just knowing the general media information about everyone else.

Christian Laettner and Bobby Hurley hated each other. Actually everyone other than Brian Davis hated Christian Laettner, yet the 1989-92 Duke teams went to four Final 4s and won two titles.

Did you have a choice to live with your dad? Were you a representative of your dad's company? Barksdale had a choice to go to LSU and with that choice comes the responsibility of being a face of LSU.

The thing to remember is that he did not say anything about Miles. He said coming to "LSU" was a mistake. (actually according to one post in this thread it was "the south").

So I hope no one is taking any glee in this because they think Miles is not doing a good job. To the extent that it hurts someone(some entitiy) it hurts LSU. And hell, if the "South" thing is accurate northern teams can use it in recruiting for northern players against all southern teams.

If you only knew how little respect Miles claims among this team's players(especially the older guys) you'd be outraged and singing a different tune.

Well obviousky you KNOW excatly how little respect Miles has omong the players and can provide concrete examples of such. Otherwise you are FOS.

Agreed. This is on Barksdale, no doubt. My reply was directed at Choctaw, and other like minded posters. They hold Miles accountable for nothing. Bad play calling -- that's on Crowton. Formation penalties and false starts -- that's on the players. Stupid clock management -- his record is 51-14, who are you to complain. Losing record in SEC in '08 -- Perriloux. Poor/no development in Jefferson/Lee -- they are too young and/or Crowton's fault. You get the picture.

bullshite. I just have my eyes open enough to see that not everything can be blamed on Miles. Some on here cant see past their hatred and decide that if anything negative comes out of LSU it has to be Miles' fault.

This story has been debunked anyway...moving on.
