I don’t see rape tagged anywhere on this. While still very serious, the charge reads as “Indecency with a minor” .
I found several cases with approximately the same bail. Several teachers.

Charges could always be upgraded if more evidence comes to light against Mingo. What was presented earlier in the thread, and subsequent news outlets doesn’t say a rape was committed.
Still horrifying and egregious behavior on behalf of Mingo, where he groomed this kid. He’s facing a serious felony with the indecency with a minor charge.

Tarrant County is pretty conservative. Seems like low bail for that charge, as others have noted. Curious to see how this plays out.

Unrelated to Mingo but same kind of deal, but for those of you that haven’t seen the 5-part series Outcry, I highly recommend it….very interesting/entertaining (also in Texas btw)
