Conference all abuzz over 3-peat
Nice read on the goings on yesterday in Hoover, w/ a focus on an SEC team winning it all again in '08.
Or, at least it *was* a "good", quality article until I saw this:
You gotta be kidding me, right?
Neutral site or away games include Clemson (a preseason favorite in the ACC), Georgia, Tennessee and LSU...oh, and there's the small matter of beating a team to end the season that they haven't beaten in 6 years.
And *this* gives Alabama a "legitimate shot" at not just winning the West, not just winning the SEC, but of becoming a top 2 team in the final BCS rankings???
EDIT: Even more hilarious is the same exact article also appears in the Sun Sentinal (under the headline, "UF, LSU talk tough, and why not?"
LINK
However, in this version, which was posted on July 23, they do not have the Alabama reference in the story. That means some Bama fan saw fit to edit it into the article today (link at the top of this post).
Honestly, this is TFF.

They need to do better research. They totally missed the SEC's 3-peat in 1978, 1979, and 1980.
I started a post on this very subject yesterday. Check it out: https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/messagetopic.asp?p=9065950

Aubbie coulda been a contender, but with the loss of Chaz Ramsey...

Never underestimate the depth of delusion of a Bama fan.
