"Conversation with one of the best scouts in the NFL this morning.

"If LSU gets consistent play at QB, they're going back to the Natty."

Yea. LSU would have even way more Nattys if they had consistent Qb play through 2010-2016. With that talent I think we win at least 1-2 more NC.

What's a realistic overview of LSU's QB?

With Jamar Chase, Terance Marshall, the backup running backs that I saw in the SEC Championship and Oklahoma game, and this TE freak coming in from Georgia, I suspect LSU's offense will easily be top 5 with consistent, better-than-average quarterback play.

Myles Brennan will be the QB. Dude has a cannon, great arm talent. 4 star recruit out of Mississippi. He should be a good one if we have a season. He has sat and learned the offense he should know it backwards and forwards. Also learning from burrow is a big deal. Went to the elite 11 camp as well. I expect him to be really good. Especially with the weapons as you mentioned.

My guess on realistic stats for him
4,000- 4,500 passing yards
25-35 tds
Around 65 completion percentage.

I’d probably say closer to 3,500. But I’d definitely be okay with 4,000+

B.S. aside, we are good guys, I mean really really good. Defense gonna be top 5-10 in Nation will help greatly also.

FIFY

You gotta remember it’s not like guys like Jefferson, Harris and Metenberger weren’t highly recruited/sought after. It’s what we did with them once they got here.

And Russell Shepard. The mismanagement at QB was just horrible.

That's pretty damn accurate honestly. I actually am expecting us to have another national title contending season. Sure, we have a few big games to win before we have to worry about that, but we have amassed loads of talent all over the field and if we get Brennan to play even 60% or so of what burrow did last year, we will be right in the hunt. We have just so much talent with experience when you look at our returning roster and we haven't even gotten the freshmen on campus yet. We are going to be very good.

Yep. This is correct. I have said this as well.

Lol, that's been the truth about our teams every season for about a decade or so now. Our qb is what makes or breaks our chances. Now, we seem to have the qb position rolling to where we can expect to have a legit passing attack and use our weapons all over the place.

LSU is always in the national championship conversation before November. Talent has never been the question and the players in the NFL is the testament. Offensive play calling has been addressed, defensive scheme has been addressed, only question is can Myles deliver. November will tell the truth.

I agree. If Brennan can pull the trigger, they have a great shot at returning...assuming there is a season.

LSU lost a ton but this roster is deeeeeeeeeeep. If Brennan just gives us ok to decent QB play it's 10-11 win season. Exceptional QB play puts LSU back in the playoffs easily.
