Could this divide the team? Guys that put in the work and were expecting a shot to play next year feel slighted by new coach bringing his dudes?

Just asking - what does the rant think.

Also, as long as they're coming, how about some bullpen lefties that throw 95?

May the best player, play. If they're afraid of competition, adios.

Fill the roster with the best players wanting to play for LSU and then put the best of them on the field.

Not sure how any other strategy plays out as well.

This happens at many programs. Robicheaux dying led to a few UL guys having to walk.

Players on that level are competing as hell…if any of them have a problem with competition, it is because someone is chirping in their ear.

If a player is put off by having other talented guys around him and having the best team possible around him, which comes with competition for playing time, then he’s in the wrong place to begin with

Johnson said that it is important that transfers fit from a cohesion standpoint, so I doubt he's bringing guys that wouldn't easily transition. Berry is the only one we know of yet, and he and Crews will already have some history together by the time he comes to campus so that will go a long way.

We are interested in either Irvin or Cooper, both LHP, not sure which one. As much as the interest is about filling a hole, I'm sure Johnson is also very cognizant of which one(or both) would gel right away.

We also have interest in an OF, likely CF.

Let me get this straight, you’re asking if they’re going to be mad if Jacob Berry is in the lineup & not will safford?

Unfortunately, athletes have grown soft and the transfer rule allows them to run to more guaranteed playing time. I agree, I don't want the guys that aren't willing to put in the work and confident that they'll win playing time, even if it means they don't win and have to do whatever is asked of them to help the team win. Sadly, they just don't make alot like that anymore.

This is like when Michael Scott, Pam, and Ryan came back to the office after Dunder Mifflin purchased the Michael Scott Paper Company

Michael gave preferential treatment to Ryan and Pam.. then the rest of the office threatened to quit

Cream rises to the top. Bringing in better players will help for better competition.

You shouldn’t be shocked that questions like this are brought up. They would have been posted 20, 30 years ago too.. if doofuses had access to the internet

With a new coach everyone should know it’s open competition. The portal rules have made hitting the road easier, so if they feel like they can’t win a spot they can go play elsewhere…I hear Arizona has plenty of open spots…

Second base was a revolving door. Our DH couldn’t hit himself in the balls with the bat. JJ was paid to win, not socially promote players into positions.
