I can't tell you how many times I throw my hands up and bury my head in my couch after we kick the ball OUT OF BOUNDS on a kickoff in the recent seasons.. Sounds like this walk-on kid is the real deal! Can't wait to see the special teams in action this year!

Man I hope all of that is true.

It would be awesome to use the special teams as a weapon again as opposed to a liability

His highlights show him kicking the ball into the middle/back of the endzone, but he's also kicking off from the 40 yard line. It will be interesting to see him in a live game.

One thing is for sure though. He's not afraid to make a tackle

He can tackle , only thing I don’t like is he ducks his head quite a bit and that shite will end your career .

Check out that punt at 2:57 so much hangtime and it was over 50 yards

with our defense we should only need to be in high teens/low 20’s to win 9 or even 10 games. To do that we going to need ST to come through with a few scores and great field position. Hopefully this JC kid is as good as advertised. We also need plenty of turnovers and hopefully a few scores out our Defense. The offense not turning the ball over is crucial to our success also

I don't understand how it's so hard for a school like LSU to find someone who can just kick the piss out of the ball out of the endzone. Like come on.

Saban held open tryouts for kicker when I was in school.

I think Ivy leagues can only give partials.

That assumes that the head coach wants this to happen. Some coaches want the kick to land inside the 5 to try to make a tackle inside the 25 or draw a penalty, which is better than a touchback.

Anyone have Wade Richey's touchback percentage at LSU?

McClendon did the same in the late seventies.

I think giving Cameron Gamble a scholarship to be a below average kickoff guy is still one of the most puzzling LSU football related decisions ever.

I believe I read that they changed the rules this year. If you fair catch it anywhere inside the 25, you still get it on the 25. So you might as well kick it out of the end zone.

Way to inconsistent for D-1 ball. Changed his set from 8-1 to 9-8 this year. Recent scrimmage at CHS he landed KO at the 20. Very strong leg, just has never had any coaching. Poor mechanics. I would have loved to have started coaching him 2 years ago.
