Anybody have a status update on Newby. Went out in the second half pretty early on. Looked to be a knee or ankle and was on crutches after game. She has been a good leader for the team. Hoping she is ok.

She has been a huge part of the turnaround. The game completely changed when she left with the injury. She is like a vacuum cleaner under the bucket. I really hope it is not a major injury that will sideline her for a long time.

I was glad to see she came back out and was on the bench with the team, but she was on crutches when they shook hands. Hoping out of an abundance of caution, but non contact injuries like that definitely don't look good. I am hoping the same. She is a strong presence on the court and an obvious leader for the team.

I can’t believe anyone would use this phrase in ANY discussion. Makes me vomit

Am I missing something? If they are not totally sure the kid is fine, or may have a minor injury that you don't want to aggravate, you would take precautions to ensure they don't hurt themselves worse.

Are you a moron?

She is a GAMER who gives 100% effort. I really hope she’s ok because she’s such an integral piece of the team.

Looked like she was in a boot at the end of the game...saw her jumping up and down after buzzer.
Hopefully it's not serious because she is a huge part of team!

On the post game, KM said it was an ankle. Hopefully she will not miss any significant time. She has been really good on the boards for us and has improved offensively.

No dude. That’s the phrase used by libtards regarding anything Covid. That’s why I hate the phrase. Of course they did the right thing keeping her out.

So now when a particular group of people use a commonly used phrase and you don't like that group you stop using the phrase?

Sounds dumb. Stick to the political board.

Jmo....It looked like she may have strained (not tore) her Achilles' tendon.
She's an integral part of this team.

* just read that this is the confirmed diagnosis.

This was my initial thought because there was no lateral strain on her ankle that I could tell from watching the replay. If it was torn, they would know immediately and I assume they would say. Hopefully, she can recover relatively soon. Need her for the tournament.

Kim Mulkey says F Autumn Newby having an MRI right now. No news but team trainer said initial evaluation looked promising from leg injury last night vs. Missouri. @LSUwbkb
